Preparation Strategy for CUET Exam 2026

With the CUET exam date just days away (May 11–31, 2026), here is a focused last-minute strategy:

1. Revise NCERT Thoroughly Since the CUET entrance examination follows the Class 12 NCERT syllabus for domain subjects, focus entirely on NCERT chapters for the remaining days. Do not shift to reference books at this stage.

2. Choose Subjects Wisely Only attempt subjects that are required by your target university and course. Adding unprepared subjects creates negative marking risk without any benefit.

For most commerce students: English + Accountancy + Economics + General Test is the standard combination for DU B.Com admissions.

3. Attempt Full Mock Tests Daily Practice complete mock tests in timed conditions to build speed and accuracy. The CUET examination is time-pressured — 60 minutes per subject with 50 questions means you have approximately 72 seconds per question.

4. Be Strict About Negative Marking The −1 penalty in the CUET exam is significant. Even 6 to 8 careless wrong answers can push your percentile below critical admission thresholds. Never guess randomly. Try only if you can rule out two or more choices.

5. Stay Updated on Current Affairs The General Test section of the CUET entrance exam covers current events from the last 6 months. Read a newspaper for 20–30 minutes daily or watch news analysis to stay updated.

6. Carry the Right Documents on Exam Day

  • Printed CUET UG 2026 Admit Card (mandatory)

  • A valid photo ID (passport, PAN card, or Aadhaar card)

  • Do NOT rely on the city intimation slip for hall entry
